Thanks !

We would like to say thank you to everyone who came out to Tech Connection #3 on Tuesday night at BOCA. We had over 150 people come out, making it our biggest and best event yet! The next one will be even better.

For those of you who weren’t able to attend the event, hopefully we’ll see you next time.

What did you miss?

  • DJ Mos spinning some sweet tunes
  • Soonr winning for Best Demo
  • Danielle from Trilibis winning a bottle of Alsace Riesling and
    a year’s subscription to Flex Car (with $150 worth of credit)

Tech Connection 2 | Wed, June 28th at the Bubble Lounge

We're back for the 2nd SF French-American Tech Connection, gathering people in high tech. This event is an opportunity to see hot demos and meet people in your field in a relaxed atmosphere.

It's a free event open to everyone | Please RSVP here

WHEN: Wednesday June 28th, 6:30pm to 11pm

WHERE: The Bubble Lounge, at 714 Montgomery and Washington, SF*

DEMOS:

1. Flock: Flock is a free web browser that makes it easier than ever to share photos, stay up-to-date with news from your favorite sites, and search the Web.
2. Umundo: Umundo is a free service for consumers cell phones: send instantly video clip direct from the phone to sites such as MySpace, my Yahoo, Google, iTunes for easy viewing and sharing.
3. Perenety: Perenety's product is shooter, a free and simple software application friends use to privately exchange photos and videos.
4. Placesite: PlaceSite introduces a new way to use wireless networks to strengthen local community.

We'll have a big screen and a projector as the event will take place in a private room, the Magnum Lounge, at the back of the main room.Finger food for early arrivals and cash bar. Feel free to invite your friends and colleagues! We look forward to seeing you there.

Hey, our first event is over now. Thanks for coming and we hope everybody had a great time.

Thanks to Curt from Orb Networks and Damien from Exalead for demoing all night.

A great thanks to Solene and Thomas for helping during the evening. Many thanks to Sylvia and Julien for organizing, and a huge thanks to Flore of course, who handled the event from A to Z and did a great job!

Update for tonight at the Medjool

Almost 90 people registered for tonight! Due to weather conditions, we'll be on the mezzanine, not the rooftop terrace.

Orb Networks will demo.

And don't forget to put your business card in the basket for the raffle: you could win a bottle of french vodka, a bottle of Champagne or a bottle of Bourgogne!
